Below is what's new in Rock's Github for pre-alpha release v17.0.27 that was released on 9/5/2024.

v16.7

  • A new setting was added to allow rejecting security cookies that are older than a date specified. This could be helpful in situations where a login token was inappropriately used or shared. Note that this will require all individuals to re-login if they had logged in before the date provided.
  • Logic has been added to remove emoji or special characters from the person first names, last names, nick names, and initials.
  • Improved query performance for the HistoryLog block. The system was updated to optimize data access, which, despite an increase in index size, significantly reduced query times and resource usage. As a result, individuals will experience faster and more efficient responses when viewing history logs.
  • Issue 5150 The Rock team fixed an issue where calendar events with an occurrence pattern of "specific date" fail to export any but the first event. What's interesting in reading the fix is that the external C# iCal.Net library that is being used is no longer maintained by the original authors.
  • Issue 5991 An issue was fixed where the Page Parameter Filter Block couldn’t handle some types of field filters such as the Connection Opportunity field.
  • Issue 5885 The Rock team fixed a bug in the Obsidian Registration Entry block where discounts applied by the admin would disappear when making a payment
  • Issue 5980 The Rock team fixed a problem where the Group Scheduling block sometimes let people get scheduled for times they didn’t prefer
  • Updated Mobile Applications to align with the latest .NET MAUI styling patterns and implement advanced theming.
  • Issue 5929 Obsidian Registration Entry block was been fixed to prevent the back button from being hidden for existing registrations.

v17

  • PR 5989 A foreground and/or background color using hex values (RGBA) can be passed into the QR Code generator. This was a pull request by Noah Lopez.
